FOUR VIDEO PERFORMANCES PART OF THE EXHIBITION
HOW DO WE SEE OURSELVES IN THE MIRROR? DO WE DEFEND INSTITUTIONALITY?
National Prize Francisco Amighetti 2020
IN THE SAME BOAT? 2020. The artist interprets the public with an "obligatory reflection", through a series of questions about natural resources, traffic of people, corruption, justice, bulling, Costa Rica versus Costa Rica....what future remais to be built in our country? This perfoamnce also talks about the essential changes in everyday life, the civic rights and civic duties, and the responsibility each of us have in the sustainability of our democracy in Costa Rica.
HOW DID I GET HERE? As part of her research, related to the social damage that Costa Rica is experiencing, Rossella Matamoros performs an intimate, heartbreaking performance that screams from the silence of an uninhabited space. In a group of 5 million people, the deepest sadness becomes specific. The femicides are one of the most serious consequences of patriarchy, chauvinism and misogyny by "the oppressor". He says: If she is not mine, she is not anybody else's!
